As a well-established company, we are fortunate enough to be in a position to invest and give back to individuals who are looking to enter this forever-growing Men’s Hairdressing Industry from school or even Individuals of any age or gender, which are looking for a career change.

8 Weeks Masters Course
3 Days a week
10am - 5pm
Our 8-week course is designed to take you from beginner to master barber through an intensive programme running 3 days a week. At the Jagged Edge Academy, it’s not about how much time you spend with us, but what we do with that time you spend with us. It’s important that when you attend our sessions, you have an amazing attitude towards learning as we build momentum through a positive learning attitude. It is about the quality of our lessons.
Our concept is proven to work with its hands-on practical training and our reputable and enthusiastic educators (Feel free to find them on Instagram @hmble_brbr & @santinosantoro95. Simply put it, the more practice you do, the better you get. We also believe that our theory goes hand in hand with our practical however, students won’t be spending all their time in books studying theory.
Our educators will guide students every day from the first week till the very last day, supervising, building confidence and helping you progress with any obstacle you may come across. Not only that, but our passionate educators are there to help norture your portfolio’s and social media presence (think of it as your own online CV), to help build your foundation so that you can go find a barbershop and be your own self-employed barber as soon as you graduate from our Master’s Programme.
COURSE STRUCTURE:
Stage 1 - You will practice all the techniques learnt in the 4-week crash course, hands on, on models. With each model, you will have our educators by your side giving you live and direct feedback and tasks. We also provide endless amount of demonstrations by our educators and even special guests, giving you the opportunity to look, learn and fire away any questions.
Stage 2 - You will then progress to refinement & finishing techniques. At this point we teach you the methods to implement drying, styling and personalisation. You will constantly be assessed on the overall quality of your haircuts and be provided with feedback and pointers so you can adjust your methods accordingly. You will also participate in class competitions where you will present your best work to motivate cutting times, efficiency and quality.
Stage 3 - At this point we move towards advanced skills. We will introduce traditional methods and modern barbering fusing the two together. You will learn wet shaving, advanced fading, advanced scissor work and advanced styling. This stage will push you technically & creatively. We will use the principle of demonstration, practical and repetition.
At the end of the course, students will be presented with a certificate ceremony where they will receive their certificates upon completion.
